Certified translations, accepted across Lima.
Lima is Peru's capital and the country's busiest hub for immigration, degree recognition, and legal paperwork. We connect you with a Colegio de Traductores del Perú (CTP) certified translator and deliver everything digitally.
From the team behind PeruVisas.com.
Why Lima is Peru's document-processing center.
Lima is home to the largest concentration of foreign residents in Peru and to the national headquarters of most of the agencies you'll deal with. The Superintendencia Nacional de Migraciones, SUNEDU, and the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores all operate their principal offices in the capital, so a high share of the country's residence applications and degree-recognition files pass through Lima.
For any document not in Spanish, these procedures require a translation by a translator recognized by the Peruvian State. The safe standard is a certified translation by a Colegio de Traductores del Perú (CTP) colegiado — it carries the translator's membership number, post-signature seals, and a declaración jurada, and is accepted for national and international procedures.
We are a US-operated booking and payment platform that routes your documents to a CTP-certified translator. You upload scans, pay online, and receive the finished, certified translation electronically — no office visit anywhere in Lima required.
Where your Lima documents are used.
Superintendencia Nacional de Migraciones (Migraciones)
Migraciones handles residence and calidad migratoria procedures. Any document not in Spanish must be translated by a translator recognized by the Peruvian State, and foreign-issued documents must be apostilled in their country of origin (or legalized via consulate and the MRE). We provide the CTP-certified Spanish translation; we do not provide apostille.
SUNEDU — reconocimiento de grados y títulos
SUNEDU recognizes foreign degrees and titles as valid in Peru (this is reconocimiento, distinct from revalidación, which universities handle). For diplomas in another language, SUNEDU accepts a translation done by a CTP colegiado, a TPJ, or a university-titled translator. We supply the CTP-certified translation of your diploma and transcripts.
Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores (MRE / Cancillería)
The MRE apostilles only documents issued by Peruvian public authorities. A foreign document already apostilled in its country of origin is not re-apostilled in Peru. If the destination country also requires the translation to be apostilled, that is a separate government step — we prepare the certified translation and explain the order of operations.
Notarías del Perú
Peruvian notaries handle property transactions, powers of attorney, and many civil filings. A CTP-certified translation already carries the translator's colegiatura, post-signature seals, and a declaración jurada; when a receiving authority additionally requires notarization, we arrange it.
Courts & civil procedures
Legal proceedings, family-law matters, and civil filings that rely on English-language evidence need a certified Spanish translation that uses accurate legal terminology. We prepare documents to the standard Peruvian courts and counsel expect.
TPJ vs. CTP — what we actually provide.
You may see references to a Traductor Público Juramentado (TPJ) — a translator appointed by Peru's MRE whose signature is, by law, non-delegable. We do not sign or resell sworn TPJ translations. What we provide is a certified translation by a CTP colegiado, which is accepted for residence procedures at Migraciones, degree recognition at SUNEDU, and a wide range of national and international trámites.
